I²C STARTUP – Foundation for Intelligent Integrated Circuit Products

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and STEADY, organized a mentoring session on “I²C STARTUP – Foundation for Intelligent Integrated Circuit Products” on 30th August 2025 at 10:30 AM in the AEC Lab. The session was conducted by Mr. Sathish Kumar K, Associate Professor, ECE Department, who delivered an insightful talk on integrated circuit product development, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the field of electronics. The primary objective of the session was to introduce students to the concepts of intelligent integrated circuit (I²C) products, encourage an innovative mindset, and motivate them to explore opportunities in startups and research.

During the session, Mr. Sathish Kumar K explained the fundamentals of I²C technology, its applications in modern electronics, and the importance of innovation in the integrated circuit domain. He highlighted various aspects of the startup ecosystem related to IC-based products and emphasized the significance of design thinking, prototyping, and practical implementation Participants were introduced to the design and development of prototype products with demonstrations of Real time end products such as WIFI enabled digital Multilanguage scrolling Notice BOARD, Microcontroller based quiz buzzer system, Dark sensor circuit. Resource person also explained about the steps to program ESP 8266 and ARDUINO UNO boards.

The session proved to be highly beneficial as students gained valuable insights into integrated circuit design, development, and startup opportunities in electronics. It enhanced their understanding of research, innovation, and industrial trends, motivating them to explore new possibilities in the field.
