The VTU Mangaluru Zone Inter-Collegiate Table Tennis Tournament (Men & Women) 2025-26 was successfully organized by Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Valachil, Mangaluru, on September 15th and 16th at the college campus.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, SIT, and graced by Mr. Karna Kumar, VTU Mangaluru Zone Sports Coordinator, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Dheeraj Hebri, Sports Coordinator, Mr. Pranam Shetty, Physical Education Director (SIT), Mrs. Supriya Adiga (PED, Srinivas University), Mr. Ranjith Kumar, and Mr. Supreet (PEDs of SIT) were also present.

A total of 19 teams across both men’s and women’s categories participated in the tournament, reflecting high enthusiasm and sporting spirit.

In the Men’s category, St. Joseph’s Engineering College, Mangaluru, clinched the championship, with Canara Engineering College, Mangaluru, securing the runners-up spot. In the Women’s category, St. Joseph’s Engineering College, Mangaluru, once again emerged as winners, while SMVITM, Udupi, bagged the runners-up position.

The two-day tournament concluded with a valedictory ceremony, during which trophies and certificates were distributed to the winners and runners-up. The event was marked by excellent participation and smooth organization, making it a proud moment for SIT and the VTU Mangaluru Zone.
