The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 10th September 2025 with GWASF Quality Castings (P) Ltd., Baikampady, to promote collaborative activities including internships, research projects, placements, and skill development programs.

This strategic partnership bridges the gap between academia and industry by providing students with valuable exposure to real-world challenges, industry practices, and hands-on experience. The MoU is also expected to encourage innovation, enhance entrepreneurship, and create mutually beneficial opportunities for both the institution and the industry partner.

The MoU was signed between Prof. Sathya Prakash A, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SIT Mangalore, and a representative of GWASF Quality Castings, Baikampady, under the guidance of the Head of the Department, Dr. Shankar K. S., and the Principal, Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D.
