The ECE Department of Srinivas Institute of Technology welcomed the First Semester ECE students on 11th September 2025 as part of the Induction Program.

In the morning session, students visited Nandini Dairy, Kulashekara, where they observed the various processing steps involved before milk is packaged. They also learned how milk packets, curd, sweets, and paneer are produced. This visit aimed to provide students with industrial exposure and help them relate engineering concepts to real-world applications. The students were accompanied by faculty members Mr. Rakesh Mallya, Mr. Clitus, and Mr. Sathish Kumar, and the visit was arranged by Prof. Lokesh, HOD, EEE Department.

In the afternoon session, students gathered in the department, where Dr. Soorya Krishna K, HOD, ECE Department, delivered a presentation on “Why ECE” and introduced the various opportunities in the field. This session helped students understand the relevance of Electronics and Communication Engineering and its role in shaping their careers. Later, students Safwan, Mohith, Mohammad Rayees, and Ashwin showcased the activities of the Tech Bot Club through demonstrations of robots and other innovative devices developed by them. The freshers also visited the Tech Bot Lab, which allowed them to explore the facilities available and the projects undertaken by their seniors.

The program successfully met its objective of creating awareness among the first-year students about the scope of ECE and motivating them to engage in departmental activities. It also provided them with valuable industrial exposure and inspired them through live demonstrations of innovation. As an outcome, the students developed a sense of belonging to the department and gained enthusiasm to actively participate in both academic and extracurricular technical initiatives.
