The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, celebrated Engineers’ Day with great enthusiasm and reverence on 15th September 2025 in the department seminar hall. The event was organized under the banner of the All Students Mechanical Association (ASMA), in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary engineer, Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, whose contributions to engineering and nation-building remain an inspiration to generations.

The program commenced with an invocation song, followed by a floral tribute to Sir M. Visvesvaraya. A warm welcome address was delivered by the student coordinator, Mr. Chethan B, who highlighted the significance of Engineers’ Day and its relevance in today’s technological era.

The Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the role of engineers in shaping society through innovation, sustainable solutions, and leadership. The chief guest, Dr. Lokesh V, inspired the gathering by sharing valuable insights on emerging trends in engineering and encouraged students to become problem-solvers for real-world challenges.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Charan Shetty of 5th semester, who expressed gratitude to the management, principal, staff, and students for their active participation and support in making the event a grand success.

The Engineers’ Day Celebration 2025 by the Mechanical Engineering Department served as a reminder of the noble contributions of engineers to society and inspired students to uphold the spirit of engineering with responsibility and passion.
