The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with STEADY, IIC and IIIC, organized Engineers Day on 15th September 2025 at the SSOSC Lab, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru. The event was conducted to commemorate the contributions of engineers and to inspire students to pursue innovation and excellence in their respective fields.

The celebration began at 2:00 PM with a warm welcome address by Ms. Ananya, 3rd year ECE. The highlight of the program was the presence of the Chief Guest, Prof. Shailesh S. Shetty, HOD of the CSBS Department, who shared his insights on the importance of engineering in shaping the modern world. He emphasized that “Every invention we see today was once an engineer’s vision” motivating students to nurture creativity and problem-solving skills.

The event included interactive discussions and reflections on the role of engineers in advancing technology and society. Students actively participated and expressed their thoughts on engineering innovations.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Shashank, 4th year ECE, acknowledging the efforts of faculty, staff, and student coordinators who made the event successful. The Engineers Day event proved to be both inspiring and informative, leaving the students motivated to follow the path of innovation and dedication in their engineering journey.
