Debate On: Will AI Replace Human?
On September 15, 2025, on the occasion of Engineers Day, the Department of Information Science and Engineering (ISE), under the Institute’s Innovation Cell and the Association of Information Science and Engineering (AISE), organized an engaging event titled Debate: Will AI Replace Humans?
The debate encouraged participants to present arguments both in favor and against the motion, critically analyzing the impact of Artificial Intelligence on human roles in industries, creativity, and decision-making. The session provided a platform for students to express their perspectives, strengthen their communication skills, and engage in intellectual discussions about one of the most relevant topics of the modern era.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of the ISE department, who showcased their technical knowledge, critical thinking, and debating skills. It not only highlighted their awareness of emerging technologies but also fostered a healthy exchange of diverse opinions.
The event was supported by Prof. Sudarshan K., Head of the Department (HOD), ISE. It was skillfully conducted by Sreenith K., 7th Semester ISE, ensuring smooth execution and active involvement of the participants. The event was coordinated by Ms. Aparna N, Staff Coordinator, under the guidance of Prof. Sowmya, Staff Advisor, AISE, whose mentorship contributed to the academic depth and success of the session.
The debate served as a meaningful academic activity that combined technical relevance with communication excellence, making Engineering Day memorable for the participants and the audience alike.
