YouWA – Youths on Weekend at Ashram
NSS students from AI-DS, CSE, ISE, and CSD departments visited Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaladevi, Mangaluru on 19th September 2025 and actively participated in the “YouWA – Youths on Weekend at Ashram” program.
The day began with an introduction to the ideals of Ramakrishna Mission, followed by a peaceful meditation session. Students explored the ashram during a guided tour and visited the library, where they engaged with inspiring literature.
They enthusiastically took part in the “Joy of Service”, promoting values of humility, teamwork, and service.
Swami Yugeshanandaji delivered an enlightening talk on overcoming stress, building self-confidence, and staying positive in life. After enjoying prasadam for lunch, students attended a powerful session by Dr. Rahul Tonse Ganesh from Swami Vivekananda School of Values, focusing on time management, avoiding laziness, and learning self-defence.
The event concluded with a motivating address by Pujya Swami Jitakamanandaji, who inspired students with the message: “Don’t stop until your goal is reached.”
Students shared their reflections and ended the day with a memorable group photo, taking back a day full of learning, service, and inspiration.
The program received wholehearted support from our esteemed Principal, Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, and was successfully carried out under the able guidance of Prof. Nagaraja Hebbar N, Head of the AI-DS Department, Prof. Sudarshan K, Head of the ISE and CSD Departments, and Dr. Suresha D, Head of the CSE Department.
The event was effectively coordinated by Prof. Kiran, NSS Coordinator, Department of AI-DS, and Prof. Shruthi V S, NSS Coordinator, Department of CSE, under the guidance of Prof. Rakesh Mallya, NSS Coordinator .The dedication, enthusiasm, and teamwork of the NSS volunteers made the program a grand success, leaving behind a sense of pride and unity in the community.
