The Department of Computer Science and Business System of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, in association with the Women’s Cell and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a Face Painting Competition on 26th September 2025. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, SIT, with the support of Prof. Shailesh Shetty S, Head of the Department, CSBS, and the coordination of the Women’s Cell and IIC.

The competition was held on the theme “Festive Faces” with a special focus on Navaratri celebrations, providing a creative platform for students to exhibit their artistic skills. Participants, working in pairs, came up with imaginative and vibrant designs depicting Maa Kaali, Ardhanareeshwara, Mahishasura, and other festive motifs. Their works reflected not only creativity and neatness but also a deep sense of cultural vibrance and relevance to the theme.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, and the judges appreciated the originality, effort, and artistic expression displayed by the students. The session proved to be lively and inspiring, fostering creativity, teamwork, and festive spirit among the participants, while also celebrating the essence of Indian cultural traditions.
