The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, celebrated Ayudha Pooja with devotion and enthusiasm at the Mechanical Workshop on 30th September 2025. The celebration was organized by the All student’s Mechanical Association (ASMA). The workshop tools, machines, and equipment were decorated and worshipped as part of the traditional ritual, symbolizing respect for instruments that aid in learning and professional growth. The event began with bhajan by the students and faculties, followed by the pooja performed by the priest in the presence of the Principal, Head of the Department, faculty members, technical staff, and students. The rituals included offering flowers, coconuts, and prayers to major workshop machinery such as lathes, milling machines, welding equipment, and measuring instruments. Students and staff actively participated, making the celebration meaningful and vibrant. The event concluded with the distribution of prasadam and refreshments, fostering unity and reinforcing the cultural and professional values of respect, gratitude, and responsibility within the department.
