Technical talk on “Career Prospects in Marine Engineering” has organized for Marine students.

AIMES- the student association of Department of Marine Engineering has organised a technical talk on “Career Prospects in Marine Engineering” on 13th February 2019 for the final & pre-final year students. Shri. M Subramanian, Advisor RL institute of Nautical Science, Madurai was the resource person and chief Guest . Shri. V Prabhakaran, placement coordinator of RLINS and Shri. Chandran M, PRO of RLINS were the guests of honour. Shri. Subramanian who has a vast experience in marine field with 25 years of experience in which 12 years as chief engineer, guided the Marine students about job prospects at sea and shore after graduation. He also shed light on the statutory requirements to sail as an engineer. He deliberated on the need of being disciplined in marine world. Dr. Shankar KS HOD of Marine Department, in his speech explained the current scenario of shipping and role of a marine engineer in the industry. AIMES faculty advisor Prof. Tony K Sebastian and AIMES president Mr. Chethan D of 4th year were present on the occasion. Ms. Arsala Jamshed of 2nd year welcomed the gathering and Ms. Aim Ponnamma of 3rd year proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Keith Jude Aroza of 3rd year compered the program.
