VALEDICTORY OF ACTIVITIES OF AIMES AND FAREWELL TO FINAL YEAR MARINE ENGINEERING STUDENTS

The valedictory function of the activities of Association of Integrated Marine Engineering Students (AIMES) and farewell to the final year Marine Engineering students was organized by the department of Marine Engineering of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru on 17-05-2019. Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology presided over the program and asked the students to involve themselves more in extra-curricular activities which are essential for overall development of any individual. He urged the students to be the true brand ambassadors of the college and the department. Dr. Shankar K S, Head, Dept. of Marine Engineering, congratulated the outgoing students on this occasion and inspired the students to update themselves to the constant change in technology, to survive in the corporate life. The outgoing students shared their experience on this occasion. All the final year students were felicitated for their active involvement in the departmental activities. The academic achievers of various year were honoured : Mrudula T H and Ganesh M Kallimani from 2nd year, Chandan A and Chethan A from 3rd year, Monisha Yadav S and Vinod Martin from 4th year. M Satish Kumar, Dinesh M, Shashank Nagesh, Anukumara B, Amol Hajare and Prasenjit S were felicitated for promoting departmental posters and videos. The sixth edition of the department magazine “ATLANTIS” and the “Book of Abstracts” of Final year students Projects and Mini projects of 2018-19 were released on this occasion.

The programme was invoked by Girish S P and B Shivakumar Reddy. Chethan D, President of AIMES welcomed the gathering. The faculty advisor Prof. Tony K Sebastian briefed about the association activities for the year 2018-19. Secretary of AIMES, Dhanush Gowda G R delivered the vote of thanks. Rajendra Reddy and Vineeth V Shetty were the masters of the ceremony.
