Convocation Day & Graduation Day, 15th February, 2019

A. Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru, was established in 1988 with avowed aim of imparting education which could mould the character of the students and make them responsible citizens of the country. It was the firm belief of the founder Adka Shama Rao that education is the tool to transform society. Today the foundation sponsors a plethora of educational institutions imparting education in Technology, Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Hotel Management, Hospitality Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Management, Nursing, Education and PUC. The foundation is ably led by Sri CA A. Raghavendra Rao and Dr. A Srinivas Rao. The Srinivas Group of Colleges is celebrating its 31th year of establishment.

Srinivas University celebrated its 1st Convocation and A. Shama Rao Foundation’s Srinivas Group of Colleges celeberated Graduation Day on 15th February 2019 in Srinivas Campus, Mukka, Surathkal, Mangalore.

Dr. S.Sachidananda, MD,DVD,PHA,FRCP, Vice Chancelor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore was the Chief Guest of the program. Dr. S.Sachidananda in his convocation address said that graduates should have the gratitude towards their parents, for their efforts in their contribution to towards their children in making them graduates, graduates should also remember their teachers for their efforts, need to be grateful for the visionaries, and peers, who help them in their difficult times. He said that private universities have a great role in building the nation. Universities should pay the role of creating good citizens, education develops knowldege and skills, knowledge helps individual to develop in their career. He called upon students to be innovative and start start ups.

On this occasion, His Holiness Sri Sri Vishvesha Tirtha Swamiji, Presiding Pontiff of the Sri Pejavara Adokshaja Matha and Great Scholar of Vedanta was conferred the degree of Doctor of Philosopy (Ph.D) from Srinivas University. On this occasion swamiji said that, a nations development means the development of society, which in turn is the creation of ideologist people in the society and this is done by the education institutes. Students blossom with right knowledge. He also said that there should be efforts to create corruption free society. Sri. CA A. Raghavendra Rao., Chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru & President, A. Shama Rao Foundation’s, Mangaluru, presided over the function. He, in his presidential address, said the importance of educating students in line with the industrial requirements and it is done by Srinivas Group of Colleges and Srinivas University. He said there is requirement of overall development of students and students need to focus on developing their communication to be successful.

1400 graduates of Srinivas University and Srinivas Group of Colleges, were given their graduation certificates by the dignitaries present on the occasion.

Principal, Registrar, Srinivas University, delivered the vote of thanks on the occasion.
