Department Of Computer Science and Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in year 2006. The Department offers B.E (CSE) undergraduate program, and a postgraduate program M.Tech(CSE) .

Department has MoUs for Research, Internship and training with various companies and government agencies. Students are encouraged to take up interdisciplinary research and project work in various domains of computer science like computer vision,Machine learning, Data Mining, Networking, high performance computing etc. and are placed in reputed companies.

             Department of Computer Science & Engineering has experienced and dedicated teaching faculty members with various specializations in computer science. The faculty members aim at delivering top class education blending their rich research experience with classroom teaching.

The Department has state-of-the-art infrastructure and computing equipment supported by high speed Ethernet and wireless networks. Various student organisations like Computer Society of India (CSI) student Chapter, ISTE Student Chapter are active throughout the year.

            The intake for undergraduate program is 120 students and 18 for M.Tech(CSE) .The Department has a comprehensive curriculum on topics related to all aspects of Computer Hardware and Software with an emphasis on practical learning. The course structure is in line with latest advances in technology which equip the students with the latest developments in Computer Science and Engineering.

           The Department has an excellent placement track record where in various companies offer attractive salary packages. Major recruiters are Infosys Technologies, TCS, Global Edge, Wipro, I-Wave, SLK software etc. Internship opportunities are provided for final year and pre-final year students to carry out projects.

  1. Programming and software Development skills: Ability to acquire programming efficiency to analyze, design and develop optimal solutions, apply standard practices in software project development to deliver quality software product.
  2. Computer Science Specific Skills: Ability to formulate, simulate and use knowledge in various domains like data engineering, image processing and information and network security, artificial intelligence etc., and provide solutions to new ideas and innovations.

  2. Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
  3. Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety and the cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
  4. Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
