The Department of Automobile Engineering aims to be a center of excellence in education and research in the field of Automobile Engineering by imparting knowledge and professional skills and active involvement in Research & Development activities to fulfill the expectations of the society and requirements of the nation.  The department aims to provide state of the art training to the stakeholders by means of tie-up with leading automobile manufacturing and service industries  and prepare them as per the industry requirements. The Department further aims to foster with essential leadership qualities, team spirit and ethical values in the students to sustain global competition and to become successful entrepreneurs.

Department of Automobile Engineering has specifically defined program specific objectives which make students to understand, analyse, design and implement the knowledge and techniques learnt in this course for the betterment of society and its sustainability.

At the end of this program, graduate will be able

  1. To identify, analyze, interpret, formulate and solve real life problems relevant to automobile industries and/or research field.
  2. To ensure safety and comfort to all the beneficiaries of the society addressing, real world problems with the application of modern tools and appropriate techniques for sustainable development.
  3. To apply the knowledge of ethical and management principles required to work in a team as well as to lead a team, both in service and manufacturing sectors.

  2. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to design and conduct experiments, Interpret and analyzes data and report results.
  3. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to design a mechanical system or a thermal system or a process that meets desired specification and requirements.
  4. Graduates will demonstrate ability to function on engineering and Automobile laboratory teams, as well as on multidisciplinary design teams.
  5. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to identify, formulate and solve mechanical engineering problems.
  6. Graduates will demonstrate an understanding of their professional and ethical responsibilities.
  7. Graduates will be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
  8. Graduates will have the confidence to apply engineering solutions in global and societal context.
  9. Graduates should be capable of self education and clearly understand the values of lifelong learning.
  10. Graduates will be broadly educated and will have an understanding of the impact of engineering on society and demonstrate awareness of contemporary issues.
  11. Graduates will be familiar with modern engineering software tools and equipment to analyze mechanical engineering problems.
